As I mentioned in my previous post Hannah Featured in QTV11's The Beat, my goddaughter Hannah was on TV last night.
Last night Hannah was in TV5's show IAMNINOY. The video shows Hannah, her parents Joan & Carlo, and Hannah's rosaries.
You might be wondering what Hannah's doing in IAMNINOY. For those who didn't know, there's actually an iamninoy Rosary Bracelets for Hannah.
Please visit Hannah's site http://hannahysabelle.multiply.com to know more about Hannah, CCHS & Hannah's rosaries.

As I mentioned in my previous post Hannah Featured in QTV11's The Beat, my goddaughter Hannah was on TV last night.
My grandmother (my mom's mom) will be going on a vacation in the Philippines! And according to what my sisters and my aunt told me, she might arrive while we're still in the Philippines. Happy happy!
I still have two grandparents, but only grandmothers. Both my grandfathers passed away when I was still a kid. We call my mom's mother Lola and my dad's mother Inang.
I haven’t talked to my Lola for a long time. But she’d often call up my mom in the Philippines, and my mom would often call her up too. Wouldn’t it be cool if grandparents knew how to use a computer and chat with each other in a Free Senior Chat? hihihi! :P
Anyway, back to the good news. :)
I knew for months that she’ll be coming home, but the original schedule she said was around March or April 2009. To surprise everyone, she planned to go home earlier, January 2009. If it’s a surprise, how did we find out? Tita was planning to go here in Singapore on March/April together with Lola, my mom and Tita Nora (family trip in other words). When Tita told Lola about the trip, Lola has no choice. She told Tita that she’ll be home earlier as a surprise. Well, it's not a surprise anymore hahaha!
Tita then told my sisters and also told my dad (because he’ll be the one who’s picking up Lola from the airport) but not my mom. Although one of my sisters told me that my mom already knew. I guess Lola can't contain herself anymore and just "unintentionally" told my mom.
Can't wait to see Lola again. :)
Macy, if you're reading this and you don't know yet, please don't tell Tita you found out from me... hihihi!
My goddaughter Hannah was on TV again last night in QTV11's show The Beat. Hannah's parents were able to record the show. So for those who were not able to watch it, here it is.
Tonight Hannah will be in TV5 show's IAMNINOY TV. So if you want to see more of this cute and adorable little girl, watch the show tonight. :)

It's Christmas eve. Today is one dark, gloomy & rainy day. Nevertheless, nothing can dampen anyone's mood.
I've been reading about this buzz for a while, but never took it seriously. Until I checked PerezHilton.com. I seldom check that site, only when I remember it (maybe around once or twice every two weeks). Then when I did checked it, this is what I saw:
Filipino Version Of Twilight To Begin Production Soon
The news is that ABS-CBN is planning to remake Twilight into a TV series, starring Rayver Cruz as Edward Cullen and Shaina Magdayao as Isabella Swan. PerezHilton.com even posted this picture: the Twilight poster edited with Rayver & Shaina's faces.
PerezHilton got the news from Yehey.com. Then I searched around for more news and found some from Ezine Max and Twilight (where Ezine Max got the news).
My reaction: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
If this is a joke... it's very funny! If it's not...NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! The movie's nice... the book's nice... the story's nice. Don't ruin it!! People will hate ABS-CBN if they continue with this! Stephenie Meyer! Don't let this happen!!!
Every year, my sister always has this Christmas wish list posted in her blog. Since she got a new laptop, a laptop bag is now on her list.
I've been searching around for a cute bag for her, and for us as well since the laptop bag we use is this big laptop backpack. It's durable & has a lot of compartments, but it's just not for me (too big!). I need something more portable for me.
When I saw the choices Rainbrooke has, I wished I can also buy them from where I am now... They're very stylish, they're on sale and they offer free shipping! :) My sister would love them as well. With Christmas just a few days away, this would've been a perfect gift.
This is a combination of a tag and an award: the award is the Cute's Blogger Award 2008 and the tag is the Random Facts. I decided to combine them since the award also has 10 random facts.
Thanks to Melanie for the award and to Carla for the tag.
Here are the rules of this award:
1. Each blogger must post these rules.
2. Each blogger starts with ten random facts/habits about themselves.
3. Blogger that are tagged, need to write ten facts about themselves. You need to choose ten people to tag and list their names.
I had a hard time doing this... coz I need to think of ten people to send this to, and ten random facts about me! hihihi! So here are the 10 random facts about me:
- I'm a chocolate love
- I hate exercising! But for the sake of losing weight and "staying fit" I do exercise
- I can't survive a day without surfing the net (or just merely checking my mail)
- I'm petite
- I love eating seafood. Fish, crab, prawns... name it I love it!
- I love reading books
- I'm not a good teacher
- I'm the eldest of 6 children
- I love dogs... as long as they're not vicious & angry
- Hubby's my first boyfriend, and I'm his first girlfriend
This tag is all about "FRIENDSHIP OFFERING" with someone whom you know, to someone whom you already knew or will know in the future, globally. Thank you Sheila for passing this on to me.
Here are the rules for this tag:
1. Copy the badge and put it on your blog,
2. Link back who pass you this tag,
3. Spread this tag to at least 7 or more bloggers who you think you are friend with.
That are tended with great care,
By those who work unselfishly
To make the place more fair.
And, like the garden blossoms,
Friendship’s flower grows more sweet
When watched and tended carefully
By those we know and meet.
And, if the seed of friendship
Is planted deep and true
And watched with understanding,
Friendship’s flower will bloom for you.
Most mobile phones now have caller ID. This is very helpful so you’ll see who’s calling you up. That is if the caller is in your address book.
A few weeks ago I accidentally deleted all my contacts from my phone, so I can’t see who’s calling. It really was a hassle and very annoying. More annoying is if someone kept on calling you up and you have no idea who called. Of course I kept on answering my phone because it might be someone I know.
I answered one phone call and he was promoting something (I forgot what the product was, but he had this weird accent… trying too hard to get that perfect English). So anyway I told him I wasn’t interested and hung up. After a few days someone called again, a different person but the same product. Tsk tsk…
I wish there’s a way to Report Phone Numbers where you can check if it’s a legit thing or report it as a scam.
I've put up a new poll/survey.
I'm thinking of creating a new blog that only talks about food or recipes I've tried (or will try). But I don't know if I should proceed with it or just put everything in this blog.
So if you have the extra time, please help me decide... :)
Gosh... and I thought I can escape not posting any of my pictures here... (I'm shy hihihi!) :) So anyway, to continue with this tag and slightly hide myself, here it is... :D
hihihi! :P Thanks Issa for the tag. :)
By the way, here are the rules:
And now, I'm passing this on to my friends & fellow bloggers sheila, shy, marie, bless, mommy elvz, tin, donna, lingz, lani and Jammy.
Thanks G for passing this to me. :)
May God richly bless you as you keep this candle burning.
Pass it on to all your Friends and to everyone you love.”
BLOGGERS who SHARED: Vicy / Eds / Jen / G / Janis / YOU
I’m passing this on to Macy.
Today my task is to finish all my overdue tags and awards.
I'm backtracking some messages & comments and saw that I have some tags & awards that I haven't done yet!
I'll try to finish them by today. If I can't... then by tomorrow. :) If it's still not finished by tomorrow... then by the end of the week (I think I better change my title to "This week is My Overdue Tags & Awards Day" hihihi!). I think... I think it would be better to do one to two tags a week instead... :D
Thanks to sheila, emz, carla, melanie, issa and g for the tags and/or awards!! :)
waa! ang dami!!
I think blogging's a part of my life now... I haven't blogged for a while because hubby & I were busy during the weekend. Then since Monday I wasn't feeling well and got a fever yesterday. My throat's still a bit sore but other than that I'm doing fine. So here's what's up...
Lloyd joined the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 2008 last Sunday, 7th of December. He joined the 10km category and he was able to finish it! I am so proud of my hubby. :) And to think it's his first time to join a marathon.
At first we thought we won't make it to the race because we woke up late (his race starts at 7:30am, we woke up at 6:30am). We forgot to remove the alarm-only-on-weekdays setting! Wrong timing! After waking up, we had a very quick shower and was out of the house by 6:45am (hahaha! world record!).
When we got out, no taxi in sight! Lloyd was ready to give up and not go to the race anymore, but we still tried to wait until 7am. Luckily a taxi passed by. :)
When we got there it was already 7:30 (or maybe even 7:40). Since we can still see a lot of guys wearing the same race shirt walking around, we just walked to the starting line. The picture on the right is the only picture I got while he was running.
After one and a half hours later Lloyd reached the finish line! From the time he started, he ran/walked/jogged for 1h:21m:8s (taken from runpix.com).
So proud of my hubby! :)
My sister was asking me why I didn't join the marathon. My answer: in a treadmill I can't reach 1km by walking! What more a 10km marathon :P
Hannah and her CCHS story was featured in GMA 7's show Emergency last night. Actually it was this morning, 12:30am.
Finally after hours of waiting for the video to be uploaded, I'm watching it now online. I even registered to iGMA.tv, but they never uploaded Emergency's latest episodes (last episode I saw was dated November 21.
For those who missed it, here's the link to the video http://www.pinoychannel.tv/watch/v-96271. This would be a great opportunity to finally see Hannah and to know more about CCHS.

20 days to go before Christmas! Hmm... I think my countdown widget is in a different timezone... :(
I was browsing through my old comments/messages archive and saw that I had a message from Jan. Jan's question for last month's coffee break (yeah! I got it last month... sorry Jan...)
These are the things that I consider when shopping for Christmas gifts:
- As much as possible I buy affordable gifts and I set a budget for each gift. Although my budget is very small, I still make sure that my gift will not be something cheap :)
- I make sure that whatever gift I give out is something the receiver will like and will be able to use. If it's food, then it's something that the person can and will eat (considerations to those with food allergies).
- As much as possible I don't want to give gifts that will just pile up in their storage rooms or somewhere in the corner of their room and accumulate dusts.
- Before, I don't buy extra gifts. But I learned from my mom that you should always have a back-up gift, just in case you forget a present for someone. So last year I had some extra gifts which I will give out this year. And good thing I did because hubby forgot to include in my list some of his co-workers :)
We went "Christmas shopping" last week. "Christmas shopping" because what we bought is not for our family & friends, but for the two of us. :)
There was this super-great sale in Gramophone. Gramophone sells CDs, DVDs, Blu-ray Discs and some books and magazines. They were selling some stuffs for $1! Imagine! Lloyd, being the entertainment & movie junkie, was in shangri-la! We were able to buy a few stuffs at 40-50% off! :)
Last week Amazon.com also started their Black Friday Deals. It started November 26, and will end today December 2. We also bought some DVDs because the deal is so good that even if you include the other fees for international shipping, it's still cheap! Unfortunately I forgot to include the DVD for the movie 300 which Lloyd told me to buy... I didn't order it anymore because it's just one item, so the shipment fee's not worth it. The total price would almost be the same price as the DVD on sale here in Gramophone.
I told Lloyd to stop dropping by Gramophone now because he might buy something again hahaha!
24 days to go?! O my gosh... I can't believe it's December 1! Time really flies sooooo fast! I better do my Christmas shopping now!
I have some gifts for female friends... I really find it easier to shop for girls. Guys... stress! I really have no idea what to give them! hahaha! Good thing that those men we'll be give gifts to are all married/committed, so I decided to just give them a couple/family gift. :)
Better look for one soon before the time runs out!
